Please sign this petition. The Pregnancy Workers Fairness Act would require employers to make reasonable accommodations for pregnancy, childbirth, and related medical conditions that are provided for disabilities, ensuring pregnant women can continue to do their jobs and support their families. Pregnant women have been fired because they asked to avoid certain activities because of pregnancy related medical conditions.

14-year-old peace activist shot in Pakistan
BBC News: A 14-year-old rights activist who has campaigned for girls’ education has been shot and injured in the Swat Valley in north-west Pakistan.
Malala Yousafzai was attacked on her way home from school in Mingora, the region’s main town.
Nominated for an international peace award, she came to public attention in 2009 by writing a diary for BBC Urdu about life under the Taliban.
